Today the JWOC O-Tour, 3-days ended. The competition was split over three days and started with a long distance race on Friday, a middle distance on Saturday and ended with another long distance on Sunday.

The relay race is over and the junior world orienteering championships 2026 is officially over! Its Sweden who takes home double gold with an impressing relay race from both the men and women team! For the womens race second place goes to Norway and third place to Switzerland. For the mens race Finland takes the second place and Switzerland takes the third! Sweden also takes home the victory for the team competition of the JWOC 2026!

Its time to close the JWOC 2026 with the final race! We head on back to Arena Bussevik and the relay! The mens relay starts at 09:00 local time (UTC+2) and the womens relay starts at 11:10 local time (UTC+2). Middle distance was on the agenda today and we crowned two new world champions! Swedens Felicia Persson won the gold with and impressing 1 minute and 46 second victory and Sondre Olaussen from Norway won the gold for the men in a tight race!

Tomorrow the JWOC O-Tour, 3-days begins! It will begin with stage 1 at Arena Bussevik with long distance and will continue with middle distance on Saturday and finally a short long distance in Sunday. Down below you can find the schedule and useful information about the competition.

During the evening was the official prize-giving ceremony for the long distance race! The ceremony was held at Stortorget, in front of the town hall. During the ceremony medals, diplomas and prizes where awarded to the top three runners from the race, with diplomas and prizes for places four to six.

Yesterday the JWOC O-Tour, 2-days ended. The competition was split over two days and started with a sprint race on Tuesday at Arena Stortorget and ended with a middle distance race yesterday at Arena Augerum.

Today its time for the runners to rest a bit before the final two races on Friday and Saturday. During the rest day there is plenty of things you can do and experience around Karlskrona. Later tonight it is also time for the next prize-giving ceremony where we will award the top 6 runners, both men and women, from the long distance race.

Today the runners switched the city for the forest when it was time for the long distance race at Arena Augerum. But even a change of terrain didn't stop Switzerlands Matthieu Buehrer and Swedens Freja Hjerne as they once again took home the gold medal! You can see the results of the top 10 runners down below.

75 teams gathered at the starting line to compete for the victory of todays sprint relay. After a thrilling race Switzerland team 1 with Henriette Radzikowski, Loic Berger, Matthieu Buehrer and Leonie Mathis takes the victory and are followed by France team 1 at second place and Czech Republic team 1 at third.

Tuesday is here and it's time for the second competition of the junior world orienteering championships with the sprint relay! The sprint relay takes place at Arena Stortorget in the center of Karlskrona. The start is at 10:10 local time (UTC+2). Tomorrow is the first day for the spectator competition JWOC O-Tour, 2-days! It will begin with stage 1 at Arena Stortorget in the center of Karlskrona with sprint and then on Wednesday it will move out to Arena Augerum for stage 2 and middle distance. The first competition of the junior world orienteering championships is over and the final results are in! Winner of the women sprint was Freja Hjerne from Sweden and winner of the male sprint was Matthieu Buehrer from Switzerland.

During the evening all 40 national teams, runners, coaches, partners and spectators took a part of the Opening ceremony. It started with a parade from Stortorget in Karlskrona down to Brinova arena where representatives from the competition and Karlskrona kommun officially declared the junior world orienteering championships 2026 open!

The opening of this championship are being held in very hot conditions. We've therefore compiled some tips to help you stay safe and look after yourself in the heat.

We have decided to postpone the next registration deadline for the spector races by one week. The current pricing will therefore remain valid until next Sunday, May 24. After that, the entry fees for classes H/D18 and older will increase.

The event was the final World Championship test ahead of this summer’s Junior World Orienteering Championships (JWOC).

Welcome to the JWOC 2026 training camps in Karlskrona - we offer you to train in similar terrains as the competitions will take place in.

We are now opening media accreditation for the Junior World Orienteering Championships in Karlskrona.

Bulletin 3 contains all updated and detailed information that teams and athletes need to prepare for and participate in the event.

The Czech club Kobul have 22 competitors entered to our spectator races during the JWOC. We met with them to see what their expectations are for the summer.

11–15 March. During five days you will have the chance to prepare on relevant terrain and maps, with a full program including long distance, middle distance and sprint, followed by national competitions during the weekend.

Scandic hotel is the official accomodation for JWOC 2026. The hotel is close to the event office. The city of Karlskrona also offers other accomodation alternatives and there is also a Facebook group for those looking for or renting out accomodation.

Athletes from 12 nations have trained in Blekinge ahead of JWOC 2026. Over 600 runners praised the technical terrain, especially Torhamnslandet. Next camp: March 2026.
